:: About Tracey Hotta, R.N

Tracey Hotta, R.N., B.ScN, CPSN, is the Nursing Manager and Aesthetic Nurse Specialist for Dr. Mitchell Brown. She began her nursing career in 1984 and has dedicated the past 20 years to the field of plastic surgery. A certified plastic surgery nurse, her passion for plastic surgery led her to be the first Canadian president of the American Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses. In 2009, Tracey used this experience to bring together 3 other nursing leaders and established the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses. Tracey is actively involved at the local and national level and is committed to the continued education for nurses and is an advocate for the consumer. She was the national trainer for Inamed Aesthetics, which involved educating nurses and physicians on the proper injection techniques when using dermal fillers, and was also a trainer for Canderm Pharma, the distributor for Artecoll. She has presented her injection techniques, product knowledge and plastic surgical procedures both nationally and internationally in the form of lectures and workshops.
In 1990 Tracey left the hospital setting and became the nursing manager for a private plastic surgery facility in uptown Toronto. Her love of dealing with aesthetic patients prompted her to become a certified collagen injection specialist and skincare specialist. She won the “Nurse Injector of the Year” award for 3 consecutive years, received the “Award of Excellence” as one of the top 5 injectors in Canada, and was asked to sit on the Board of Advisors of Inamed Aesthetics (now known as Allergan).
In 2000 Tracey began offering Botox treatments in her aesthetic practice of dermal fillers and skincare, and is recognized as a leading Botox injector in Canada. In 2006 she completed her training courses on Thermage, followed by IPL and Profractional Resurfacing Treatments in 2007.
