Q.: Can breast lift and tummy tuck be done at the same time?
Dr. Brown answers: “Two procedures that are commonly performed at the same time are tummy tucks and breast reshaping surgery. The so-called “Mommy Makeover” is most commonly performed after women have their children but often these procedures are indicated after periods of significant weight loss. The goals of these procedures are to restore a sense of balance and proportion to the body, improve the way that clothes fit, and to positively impact how a woman feels about herself following changes related to pregnancy or weight loss.
The surgery varies based upon a person’s size and shape however it is usually performed under a general anaesthetic and patients stay in our facility over night. Although the recovery from a combined procedure is longer, the benefit is that this can all be performed in one operation with one recovery period.”
